Art Deco Silver Box - London - 1933 by S. J. Rose & Son.

£900.00

A fine Art Deco silver box, made in London in 1933 by S. J. Rose & Son.
Of octagonal form, the box is finished with an all-over engine-turned decoration, giving it a crisp and elegant appearance typical of the period. The hinged lid is fitted with two oval bronze plaques, finely worked in relief with naturalistic floral and bird motifs, providing a pleasing contrast to the silver ground.

The box opens smoothly to a plain interior, making it ideal for use as a trinket box, jewellery box, or cigarette box. A well-proportioned and decorative example of interwar London silver, combining quality craftsmanship with subtle mixed-metal detailing.
